Helen has worked in design since training at Ravensbourne College of Art and Design in 1984 where she gained a BA (Hons) degree in 3-dimensional design. An intuitive sense of colour allows her to design that perfect piece which not only complements her client’s beauty, but also captures their personality.
“I travel to the Far East to source my materials, which allows me to select top-quality, unique and individual items. I check each pearl and stone individually for cut, clarity, shape and lustre”. Helen’s perception and instinctive knowledge of the stones she works with, combined with her desire to ‘get it right’ for you, ensures an enjoyable experience.
“My work is influenced by all that surrounds me. I find inspiration in the people that I meet, as well as the environments I explore, whether that is the intriguing cobbled streets of Rye, or the vibrant heart of London. Interactions with nature fuel much of my work, studying the changes in the seasons I strive to incorporate natural elements of colour, detail and texture. However, it can even be something more elusive that begins the creation process, such as a piece of music or a particular mood or emotion.”
“I am an avid observer of people and enjoy getting to know new clients. By understanding exactly what sort of vision the bride has for her day, I can create a bespoke tiara for a romantic country wedding, or a cutting-edge design for a sophisticated contemporary look. I can also cater for the family members, be it fascinators and decorative pieces for the mothers of the bride and groom, headdresses for the bridesmaids or necklaces to match their dresses and the theme of the wedding.” The bespoke process allows Helen to work to a customer’s budget, so please do not hesitate to contact us regarding any personal queries.
